October 15 was a sad day for our little family. We made the decision that it would be best for Roxie to find a new home. We loved Roxie (sometimes:)). She was very sweet with the girls. Sarah loved to play with her in the backyard and chase her around. Sarah would tackle her and the dog would just love every moment of it. Sarah would love the attention the dog would give her. Sarah also enjoyed letting the dog inside then opening the front door and let Roxie run a way. On many occasions I ran after the dog, waited by my phone for someone to call letting me know they had our dog, or driving the car around seeing if I could find the dog. Fun...
Kaitlyn loved Roxie too. Kaitlyn loved taking her on walks around our neighborhood. One day while Ryan and Kaitlyn took Roxie for a walk, Kaitlyn was holding the lease and Roxie saw a bigger dog on the other side of the street. She darted out of Kaitlyn's hand and bit the other dog pretty bad. We are not sure why Roxie acted out like this. We were thinking that she was being over protective since that's in her breed.
Overall, we felt Roxie wasn't the right dog for our little family and we hope Roxie finds a fun, loving family.
