Kaitlyn is such a great example to us. Every night she wants to read scriptures as a family and to have family prayer. After we are done reading out of her little scripture books we tell her it is time for prayer and she will say, "wait! wait! i need to get on my knees." She is such a good little girl and has such a desire to learn about her Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
Yesterday, while we were cleaning the church I told her we were cleaning Heavenly Father's home. Then, when we were getting ready to leave, Ryan said, "Okay, let's go." and Kaitlyn replied, "No! we're cleaning Heavenly Father's house."
About 2 weeks ago, she said her first scripture/saying in primary. They had asked her to say, "The family is ordained of God." and the night before we were reminding her that she was going to go up in front of her primary friends and teacher and say what she had been working on all week. After we told her good night we hear her in her room saying, "the family is ordained of God. thank you. thank you." she was saying "thank you" like she would if she was doing her curtsey. It was really funny!
Anyway, Kaitlyn said her first prayer 2 nights ago. We usually help her, but this time she did it all by herself.
It went something like this:
Heavenly Father,
thank you for today, thank you for our blessings, help mommy to be good.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
I don't know why she prayed for me to be good? hmmm...
But, we were so proud of her. :)
