Emme is One Month

Emme,
On May 12th, Mother's Day, you turned one month. That was also your first time attending church.  I've never felt so tired in my life. After we had put you to bed you would wake up about every 2 1/2 - three hours after that. Usually between 2:00 and 3:00am and then again around 5:30 was when you normally wake up. It was exhausting, especially because I had to get up to help your sister Kaitlyn get ready for school. After your early morning feedings, you would have a hard time going back to sleep. It would take you over an hour or longer to go back to sleep. I've never been sleep deprived before, now I know what it really feels like.
You love your bathes. You find them relaxing.
You love to be swaddled when you go to bed.
You love being wrapped up in your blanket and being held close.
Your eyes seem to be a little on the lighter blue side compared to your sisters when they were babies. We wonder if you will end up with hazel eyes? My guess is probably not.
You're very aware of your surroundings and very alert. You always have been since the day you were born.
Your sister, Kaitlyn, has been a great help. She loves to help feed you your bottle, give you your paci when needed and likes to hold you when you need to be comforted.
Sarah, loves you. She loves to help give you your bottle for a few seconds, then she's done. She loves to try to shove a paci in your mouth when you're sound asleep. She likes to play with your swing while you're in it. Sometimes she likes to push it. A little too hard. Makes me nervous.
You're still in your little newborn clothes.

We love you!
