Del Mar Mud Run

Moving and making new friends can be tough. I'm slowly making friends, but it's been a process. A couple of weekends ago I flew to SoCal to see my good friends Annie and Kara to run in the Del Mar mud run. It felt great to re-unite with these awesome ladies and to see Annie's family. I think it was a much needed weekend. I have missed them all so much!

Who knew that running through mud pits would be so fun? If I can remember correctly they had monkey bars, slip in slides, tire hills, tunnels, dirt hills, a tight rope walk, and a rope swing.

This weekend needs to become a tradition. Annie was a wonderful hostess and as always, cooked up some delicious food. I can't thank the Packards enough for letting me stay with them. It was so. much. fun!

After spending some short time with the girls, I drove back up to my parents house where I was able to spend some time with my family for a few days. It was a nice, refreshing trip, but I did miss Ryan and my two little girls.
